Join our first Disrupt Meetup of the Disrupt | Digital Identity Frankfurt community. This meetup covers the future of biometrics and how blockchain can support the third evolution of digital identity: self-sovereign identity.

The meetup is supported by the IOTA Foundation: we are happy to announce that the foundation will provide Pizza and drinks.

After the two presentations, we will have an IOTA Community meetup.
Our meetups aim at bringing blockchain enthusiastic enterprises that want to get to know the technology, understand how it can be used and applied in their processes and those that already invest in it together.

TOPIC

Challenging Digital Identity with Blockchain & Biometrics

SPEAKERS

Here is the current line-up of the upcoming speakers:

(1) Yasmin Ulrich, IamPass

After traveling the world as a tennis player in her youth and eventually competing on the WTA Tour, Yasmin Ulrich quickly found her new passion within the payments industry in 2007.
Gaining her first experiences at Deutsche Bank´s Global Transaction Banking, Yasmin´s focus on payment and FX solutions for global players increased while working for various renowned banks throughout the past decade.
Consistently challenging the status quo, she is now managing Western Union Business Solutions´ bank network in EMEA and partially LATAM while being an advocate for payment modernization and new technology.
Yasmin is also an advisor of iampass - a project combining biometrics and Distributed Ledger Technology to create an innovative and tangible identity and access solutions - and founder of a growing network promoting healthy and positive lifestyles among women.

(2) Ellie Stephens, Jolocom

Ellie Stephens is a communications strategist with experience working in 16 countries, notably in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Prior to joining Jolocom, Ellie worked closely with activists from around the world to help them build innovative solutions, often decentralized, to solve their most pressing challenges, from data security breaches to lack of access to funding.
Since joining Jolocom, she has been able to combine these experiences with her passion for privacy and digital identity management to help the team behind Jolocom put their self-sovereign identity app and protocol into the hands of people, businesses, and governments. Her hope is that one day, the ability to own and control your own identity will be the norm for people all over the globe.
