This Industry 4.0 and IoT meetup discusses the use cases developed by ConsenSys of the Ethereum Blockchain in various industries. It is brought to you exclusively by ConsenSys, the world’s leading Ethereum development firm.

Our meetups aim at bringing blockchain enthusiastic enterprises that want to get to know the technology, understand how it can be used and applied in their processes and those that already invest in it together.

SPEAKERS

Here is the current line-up of the upcoming speakers (will be updated over time):

(1) Tom Lyons (Executive Director of Research and Advisory)

Tom Lyons is a thought leadership and communications expert specializing in finance and technology. A dual Swiss and American citizen, Tom began his career on Wall Street before moving to Zurich, where he worked in communications and marketing at both Credit Suisse and UBS. In 2009 Tom founded Lyons Communications, a boutique agency focused on sophisticated thought leadership and content marketing campaigns primarily in the areas of financial services, Fintech, emerging technologies, and sustainability. He has been involved in blockchain since 2015, and in 2017 helped found the Crypto Valley Association (CVA) in Zug, serving first as Chair of the Communications Working Group before moving to Chair the CVA's new Enterprise Blockchain Working Group. In 2018 Tom joined ConsenSys as Executive Director, ConsenSys Research and Advisory, Switzerland. The world's largest blockchain venture studio, with over 1100 employees in 28 countries, ConsenSys's mission is to build the infrastructure, applications, and practices that enable a decentralized world. Currently, Tom is part of the ConsenSys team running the European Union Blockchain Observatory and Forum, where he is responsible for a series of white papers for the European Commission on a variety of blockchain themes. He is also a founding member of ConsenSys Research, a team of writers, academics, and industry experts exploring decentralization and the early blockchain ecosystem through data-driven, empirical research and thought leadership.

(2) Jérôme de Tychey (Blockchain Tech Lead)

Jerome the director of ConsenSys Solutions in France which helps organizations across the globe build, test, and deploy public and private blockchain applications. He has a background in economics and was an assistant professor at La Sorbonne and Paris Dauphine. He jumped into the blockchain space as a miner in 2013 and has a particular interest in crypto economics and smart contract development. He founded and is the president of Asseth which is the largest blockchain oriented non-profit in France.
