All materials included! You can bring your own sketchbooks and material if you like, however everything will be provided.
Zemin Berlin is a unique art space in Kreuzberg, mainly used for art and drawing events and exhibitions. Here there will be a chance to grab refreshments throughout the session!
Brief structure:
We will start gently with an introduction to contemporary paintings with portraits. Then do a few short warmup drawings with model to loosen up. We will then move onto some exercises exploring some drawing techniques to develop using tone, composition, form and colour. After drawing we will then learn how to approach a painting with acrylics from our drawings and how to build a painting from scratch, with an insight into using colours, mixing and handling of paint.
It will be a fun and creative session, where you will take away with you an acrylic painting and will have learnt many techniques on how to develop a painting from sketches.
This session is for all levels, your teacher will be practising artist and tutor Emily Morey. (@emily__moreyart) Emily is qualified at master's level in drawing and painting and has studied at The Royal Drawing School in London, she has tutored for years and has taught at Burnt Sienna Art School in Berlin.
