A solo bharathanatyam recital by Sri Lavanya Subramaniam
Rasamritham is a new solo Bharatanatyam work by Sri Lavanya Subramaniam, bringing together classical Bharatanatyam, live Carnatic music and poetry.
Through movement, rhythm and expression, the work explores the many ways we experience human connection through friendship, longing, tenderness, care and devotion, drawing inspiration from the rich storytelling traditions surrounding Krishna.
Moving between rhythmic, expressive and reflective moments, Rasamritham brings the precision and beauty of the Bharatanatyam tradition into dialogue with contemporary experiences of emotion and relationship.
The performance features live music, creating an intimate dialogue between movement and sound throughout the evening.
