Mysterien von ProDataset und Temp-Table Parametern

Temp-Tables und ProDatasets sind mittlerweile aus keiner ABL Anwendung mehr wegzudenken – egal ob mit oder ohne AppServer. Als grundlegende Datenstruktur sind sie Grundlage der Trennung der Ermittlung und Verarbeitung von größeren Datenmengen. Auf den ersten Blick ist die Nutzung von Temp-Tables und ProDatasets als Parameter trivial. Allerdings gibt es einige Fallstricke die zu verbreitenten Fehlern führen. In der Präsentation werden wir potentielle Probleme, deren Aufdeckung und Lösungsmöglichkeiten vorstellen.

JIRA Integration mittels OpenEdge HTTP Client

Viele Softwareentwickler kennen JIRA: der de facto Standard für Aufgaben- und Projektmanagement bei der Softwareentwicklung. Viele Nutzer interagieren über das Browser-Interface mit JIRA – allerdings bietet auch die Integration über die REST API von JIRA viele Möglichkeiten.

In dieser Präsentation führen wir die Nutzung von JIRA über den OpenEdge HTTP Client um Daten aus JIRA abzufragen und zu modifizieren vor. Wir stellen die Grundlagen des OpenEdge HTTP Clients und die Nutzung mit HTTPS Zertifikaten vor. Gezeigt werden Beispiele zum Lesen von Ticket-Listen und deren Details und Attachments sowie das Verändern der Tickets durch ABL Code.
