Are you ready to buy a property in Berlin? You need a mortgage to finance your purchase?

After the smashing success of our past mortgage workshops, we decided to start hosting this event on a weekly basis. This way we hope we can reach even more expats who are ready to buy property in Berlin and guide them through the German mortgage process.

What is the workshop about?

In this third 1.5 hour workshop in our office in Berlin-Mitte, our mortgage experts will walk you through the ins and outs of the German mortgage system. The head of our mortgage team Stephan will not only go over the basics of how a mortgage works in Germany but also delve into the nitty-gritty details that nobody tells you about when getting a mortgage. We will have enough time to answer all your personal questions and assist you wherever you are in your property search. The workshop is completely free and beverages will be provided.

Who is behind Hypofriend?

After working in the Berlin tech scene at companies like Zalando, 8fit, and Ada, Nick founded Hypofriend to help expats with their mortgage process. Teaming up with his father a former World Bank economist and Pavel, the former head of engineering at COUP, they set out to bring real-time insights into the mortgage market and use data to simplify the decision-making process. Together with a team of vetted local mortgage advisors, they're working on making the German mortgage market more transparent and easier to understand.
