United Smart Cities:

United Smart Cities [USC] coordinated by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Organization for International Economic Relations (OiER) is a multi-stakeholder program which aims to address the development of Smart Cities around the world and supports the implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the local level.

It currently provides a platform for smart sustainable cities stakeholders to: evaluate needs, introduce smart and sustainable technology, finance projects, bridge partnerships, transfer knowledge and improve the quality of life of people living in cities worldwide.

USC is the pathway to successful partnerships between cities and the private sector as the program provides both a process and a framework for cooperation between UN organizations, such as UNECE, UNIDO, UNDP, and Local2030, as well as cities and the private sector. This program has a solution and project focus, supporting company’s market and sector entry of smart sustainable technology solutions and services in cities.
