Hi, I'm Jenny - I created Sketch & Cafe because though I love working from home, I miss the community space that comes with a shared studio. I draw, write and journal. I share art progress, updates and my children's picture book author-illustrator journey on Spotted Journal.

You never know what you might unlock with the next conversation - As i'm building my art career, working from home is lonely and it turns out i'm not alone. It was super helpful chatting with similar minded people about projects and/or situations I'm feeling doubtful, stuck or not confident about. It helped me make leaps and thanks to these experiences, Sketch & Cafe was born. I want to create an accessible non-judgemental space where adults can genuinely connect, create and grow together. So here we are!

Fortnightly people meet to chill, chat & sketch whilst supporting different local cafes around Manchester, UK. There's also online book clubs and coworking groups. Generally its a relaxed space where we can simply be ourselves. (No negative comparisons allowed during these events. Put the overthinking and judging aside. Leave the professionalism out the door).
