Meagher’s Pharmacy Group was first opened in Baggot Street in 1921 and operated by the Meagher family. In 2001, Oonagh O’Hagan (who had served her Pre-Reg year under the guidance of Pierce Meagher) purchased the store from the Meaghers family. Based on its reputation as a Community Pharmacy, it was important for Oonagh to retain the name - Meagher’s Pharmacy.

Over the next 10 years, five more Meagher’s Pharmacies followed; Ranelagh Village, Glenview Tallaght, Castletymon Tallaght, Barrow Street Dublin and Sandford Road Ranelagh. In 2016 Meagher's opened two new stores, inside the Mater Hospital in Dublin and Kinvara Pharmacy in Dublin 7. In 2019 we opened up our 9th store in Churchtown in Dublin 14.

Meagher's continues to be a family run, community based pharmacy. It was recently recognised as a Deloitte best managed company and today, Meagher’s Pharmacy Group is a leader in the Dublin area for delivering excellence in patient care and in the provision of Consultation Services, serving our community and expanding the role of the pharmacist.
