Chef DeVoria Simmons began her culinary instructional journey in 2005 when she began teaching culinary arts to adults in New York City. In 2013 the native Detroiter decided to return to Detroit to continue teaching. Chef Simmons began teaching teenagers in both Detroit and Southfield Public School Systems to make a difference with the youth in her hometown. Chef Simmon’s joy is sharing cultural experiences through food.
