Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches adults (18+) how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges, mental health crisis, or substance use challenges among adults and youth. MHFA can save a life, just like CPR or physical first aid. 

Program Update: Sustaining MHFA for the Future

To ensure this life-changing program continues to grow and serve our community, Adult Mental Health First Aid trainings will transition to a fee-based model starting October 1st, 2026. This change reflects both the end of current grant funding and our commitment to long-term sustainability.

All trainings will remain free thanks to continued grant funding for the following groups::

• Attorneys, judges, and first responders
• K–12 school employees
• Higher education employees
• Veterans and military members
