Who We Are?

At Independence Project & Clubs, we believe everyone deserves meaningful opportunities, real community connection, and a life full of possibility.

From our Chelmsford base, we provide specialist day opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities and autism. We also run after school and holiday clubs for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) creating safe, inclusive spaces to learn, grow and have fun.

We’re also proud to have the hive, our new purpose-designed setting supporting young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex health or medical needs.

Because independence grows when opportunities grow, we launched Independence Clubs CIC, expanding experiences even further with evening social events, music club nights, supported holidays, our very own enterprise The Washclub and now exclusive SEND Festivals
