DMU Museum

Discover the story of Leicester’s Medieval Newarke and Castle areas, a hidden corner of the city steeped in centuries of history.

The DMU Museum is home to the last remaining ruins of the Church of the Annunciation, where King Richard III’s body was displayed by Henry VII following the Battle of Bosworth.

This historic quarter is rich with connections to some of Leicester’s most remarkable stories, figures, and historic landmarks. The Museum brings these stories to life through guided tours, public events, Heritage Sundays and a changing programme of temporary exhibitions.
