Alchemy Tones

Babita Mundra, from Alchemy Tones, is a highly respected Accredited Sound Healing Practitioner. Babita also studied Reiki Level 1 & 2, and Reflexology in 2011 & 2012. Born and raised in Nottingham, Sherwood, with Indian Panjabi heritage, she first found love in the sound of music/drums at the local Sikh temple, listening to Bhajans (holy music), as a child.

Being a South Asian female, learning a drum instrument was not encouraged; so at the age of 6 years old, Babita taught herself the drums by imitating drummers on TV using knitting needles and a sofa! Throughout her life she has continued her passion despite many cultural prejudices & setbacks. She has performed with many bands in London as a percussionist (when she resided there during 1992 - 2015).

Babita started Alchemy Tones in 2022. The first year started with creating 432Hz meditation music incorporating Solfeggio & Planetary frequencies. During a deep meditation Babita felt the calling to give 432Hz Sound Baths using Tuning Forks, Shruti Box, Handpan/RavVast drum, Flute, Drums, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls etc., and it evolved from there. Then opportunities to perform 432Hz music at live events arose; and has collaborated with a few local spoken word artists also.

Now with over 20 years’ experience as a percussionist, producer and musician, she brings a unique perspective to sound vibrations. Babita combines her deep understanding of energy healing with her lifelong passion for music; exploring sound and space.

She runs a monthly Sound Bath in Sherwood and continues to make meditation music, and perform at various live events.
