The DC Arts Center
The DC Arts Center (DCAC), located in the heart of Adams Morgan, is a multidisciplinary arts space and the only institution in the greater Washington, DC, area solely dedicated to fostering underrepresented artists in every discipline.
Founded in 1989, DCAC operates two galleries and a 41-seat black box theater, presenting 14–16 visual art exhibitions annually alongside performances, workshops, and community events.
Following a historic full-facility renovation in 2024, the Center now offers a modern, more accessible space for artistic risk-taking and dialogue. From open-call exhibitions like WallMountables to curated shows, comedy, poetry, and educational programs, DCAC connects artists and audiences through bold, inclusive programming that reflects the vibrant creativity of DC.
