The jury has spoken - Social media for artists and musicians is no longer optional – it’s essential!
With the ever-changing landscape that is social media and digital marketing, it can be tricky to maneuver - whether you are a photographer, musician, artist, dancer or small business owner, learn invaluable tips and tricks on social media management, branding, content creation and scheduling.
If you've always wanted to learn how to write copy without deleting a thousand drafts, deliver targeted content, connect with your audience, crack the algorithm, become a hashtag guru and how to develop a supercharged social media game plan and strategy then this is the session for you.
The campus will be open from 11 am - 3pm for personal advisory meetings and campus tours on Open Day, simply come along and speak to one of our friendly student advisors on the day or send us a message/call/e-mail to book a time before or after your workshop.
Spaces are limited to 15 persons per workshop to ensure social distancing and CovidSafe measures. Only RegisteredTicket holders will be admitted to maintain regulations.
About the Teacher
Ash Harris King is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, actor, educator and creative professional.
As a solo blues & roots artist and lead singer/guitarist of blues-rock band Smoke Stack Rhino, his music has received airplay on Triple J and Triple M, and he has toured extensively, playing over 20 festivals around Australia and supporting the likes of G Flip, Pierce Brothers, and KINGSWOOD.
He has produced music alongside United Pop legend Beau McKee, acted in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Oliver Twist, hosted open mic nights and MC’d fashion parades at Federation Square.
In 2020, Ash and his partner, Ash - yeah, they have the same name! - decided to start a record label. JAMALAMA is an independent, regional record label with passion for developing the music community in the leafy surrounds of the Yarra Valley, just east of Melbourne.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts and Master of International Relations, he has worked in higher education, teaching across the study areas of music industry, business, marketing, international relations, politics, and history at United Pop, Box Hill Institute, Monash and Deakin.
