TOA Deep Tech Night

It's Tech Open Air (TOA)'s 10 year anniversay! TOA is Berlin's largest tech conference and this time it's deep tech-themed.

This year, we're hosting our biggest ever Deep Tech Night with TOA to celebrate their 10 year anniversary!

This time we'll feature:

• Deep tech & AI startups pitching 🎤
• Best Pitch prizes and award 🏆
• Networking with the best of Berlin's AI & deep tech crowd 🔥

Watch Jonas Sommer deliver an exciting keynote speech and then watch the latest ideas in deep tech and AI take centre stage, with 5 startups pitching and a special award and prize given to the best startup pitch!

Join us on June 5 for a night of exploration and collaboration as startups, investors, and ecosystem players come together. We run this event in partnership with Fraunhofer HHI.

Who should attend?

TOA attendees, researchers, founders, investors, industry experts, aspiring founders, academics, & deep tech & AI enthusiasts.

Here’s the rundown:

• 6 PM: Arrive and mingle. Grab a drink and food. Giving people enough time to arrive from TOA.
• 7PM: Kick off the event with a Keynote Speaker
• 7:30 PM: 5 X Startups pitching (5 mins pitch + 5 mins for Q&A)
• 8 PM: Vote for best startup + awards
• 8:15 PM: Drinks, DJ and open networking

This event is open to all and free to attend. No prior TOA daytime attendance is required.

The keynote speaker

Jonas Sommer, Investment Manager at DTCF, will take the stage at this edition of our Deep Tech Night at TOA. He will discuss the exciting opportunities in deep tech and AI that researchers and founders should seize from a venture capital perspective. Jonas is a tech investor with a background in data science and software engineering, and experiences across Beijing, San Francisco, London and Berlin. DTCF is a German venture capital firm focused on Series A and Series B investments in digital and industrial technology companies with EUR 1B under management.

🏆 The 'Best Pitch' award goes to whoever wows the audience the most! The winner of the award also gets a prize!

Who is Silicon Allee?

Berlin's innovation network! We've been supporting founders, investors and companies to start up and grow since 2011.

We started life as the first English-language startup news site in Berlin, and with this same monthly meetup! Since then, we created the Berlin Founders Fund, from 2019-2021, funding companies like Vaayu, Kittl, and Finmid, to name a few. We also developed an investor network called Skytrain.
