<h3>What is this workshop (3x3h) about?</h3><p>As a company of the Carl Zeiss Foundation, responsible action is a top priority for ZEISS. Thus, we are constantly reflecting on how our activities can be green, safe and responsible. For instance, the ZEISS Vision Care strategic business  pools over 280 initiatives in a global program to strategically anchor and drive sustainability in eye care (to find out more, click <a href="https://www.zeiss.com/corporate/int/about-zeiss/responsibility/green-safe-responsible-for-greater-sustainability-in-eye-care.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>). </p><p>But we believe that we can still do more. And we are convinced that fresh ideas from outside will help us! Together with YOU, we would like to look beyond  green product design and existing initiatives and think of complete new business models. </p><p>In three half-day workshops, we therefore want to work together on the question: “What are sustainable business models for eye care?”. </p><h3>How is the workshop structured?</h3><p>The online workshop is split in three afternoon sessions (Central European Time). </p><ol><li>On <strong>22nd of April</strong> (14:00-17:00), you will get familiar with different types of sustainable business models as well as the topic eye care. </li><li> On<strong> 29th of April </strong>(14:00-17:00), you will build teams and generate new ideas.</li><li>On <strong>6th of May</strong> (14:00-18:00), you will be confronted to our jury and pitch your ideas. This session is a little bit longer in order to give the jury time to reaching a decision and having some networking time. </li></ol><p>Due to the corona situation, the workshop will be online using MS Teams. You will get the link after successful registration. </p><h3>How can I participate and what are the requirements?</h3><p>Students of any discipline are welcome. No special knowledge on eye care or business modeling is needed. </p><p>Teams will be built during the sessions. You do not need to come as a team. </p><h3>Why should I participate?</h3><p>You will… </p><ul><li>work in a small team and pitch your most convincing ideas. </li><li>learn about ideation and business models.</li><li>extend your knowledge on sustainability and eye care.</li><li>get in touch with ZEISS professionals as well as external experts, like Nitin Sisodia from <a href="https://sohumforall.com/team/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sohum Innovation Lab</a> and <a href="https://luedekefreund.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Prof. Florian Lüdeke-Freund</a> from ESCP Europe Business School.   </li></ul><h3>What is in it for me?</h3><ul><li>2.000€ for the winning team. The prize can be invested as micro loans in projects from <a href="https://www.kiva.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KIVA.org</a> and afterwards being either reinvested in other projects or refunded to the participants.</li><li>Participation certificate for every participant.</li></ul><p>Opportunities to develop your ideas further</p><ul><li>as a working student or in a master thesis at ZEISS </li><li>in the lecture “Business Innovation in Optics &amp; Photonics” (BIOP), 4 ECTS, for KIT students.</li></ul><h3>For more information</h3><p>You have further questions?
