Python Discovery Week for Everyone at 42 Berlin

From September 7 – 14, 2026, 42 Berlin is opening its doors for a completely free, 7-day coding immersion: the Python Discovery Week for Everyone.

Whether you are a complete beginner, a career changer, or simply curious about the world of tech, this week is built for you. We welcome all genders, life experiences, ethnic backgrounds, and professions. If you have the drive to learn, you belong here.

How the week works

At 42 Berlin, we do things differently. There are no traditional lectures to fall behind in and no professors grading your work. Instead, you learn by doing: hands-on exercises, self-guided exploration, and small projects built alongside the peers sitting right next to you.

Mentors will be there to guide you when you get truly stuck, but you will quickly find that everyone else in the room is working it out, too.

What you'll get into

By the end of the week, you will have the fundamentals of Python down and a small project of your own to show for it. You will dive directly into:

• Python basics: Understanding the syntax and structure.
• Variables and data types: The building blocks of your code.
• Conditionals and loops: Teaching your program how to make decisions.
• Functions: Keeping your code clean and reusable.
• Lists and dictionaries: Storing and managing data.
• Debugging: The art of problem-solving when things (inevitably) break.
• A simple project: Built entirely from scratch by you.

• Experience required: Zero. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try.
