CORDILLERA Raum für Körper und Utopien

PUKLLAY
Workshop for Dance, Performance and Embodied Practice
In this workshop with Peruvian artist Ximena Ameri, we playfully explore new forms of movement, presence and scenic composition. Drawing on the Andean concept of Pukllay, a Quechua term associated with play, festivity, transformation and collective encounter, we open the body to new forms of expression and interaction. We work with movement improvisation, Physical Theatre and choreographic practices, exploring how bodily memories, objects, space and personal experiences can become starting points for movement and composition. The workshop invites participants to playfully experiment with new possibilities of scenic presence, expand their own forms of expression and explore new approaches to collective creation from decolonial perspectives. Open to dancers, performers and artists working with embodied practices of all levels.
