Session 3: "Faita Open Air 2030": the ESG protocol for the Italian Open Air industry

  • Speaker: Giulia Moraschi (IMQ eAMBIENTE S.r.l.; Technical Director | Operations Manager)
  • Description: In today's tourism industry, sustainability is increasingly playing a key role in business competitiveness and it is therefore crucial to have a sustainability rating in order to define strategic development paths and improve ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performances. This is why in April 2022 Faita Federcamping, with the support of Banca Intesa Sanpaolo and the technical collaboration of IMQ eAMBIENTE srl, launched the innovative project "Faita Open Air 2030". The initiative's main objectives are to assess and compare the ESG performance of Faita's member campsites, to create a specific verification protocol for the Open Air industry and to launch a Faita Federcamping guarantee label on the market. The results of the first stage of the project, on a cluster of ten campsites, have been published in May 2023 and confirmed that the Open Air sector in Italy is beginning to move towards an ecological transition, but that there is still great room for improvement.
  • Panel discussion and Q&A with: Alberto Granzotto (President of Faita Federcamping; President of Villaggio Turistico Internazionale; C.E.O. of Aurore Development S.p.A.), Josipa Bonifačić (Assistant Professor at Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management Opatija, UNIRI), more panel speakers to be announced
