SCATTERED DIFFUSIONEine interaktive, audio-visuelle Performance im Kontext der „Stretching Materialities“ Ausstellung. Bei dieser Performance soll es darum gehen gemeinsam eine Atmosphäre aus verschiedenen materiellen Zuständen zu schaffen, digital und körperlich-sinnlich. Fragmentarische Überlegungen der Philosophin Jane Bennet fließen mit ein. (Scattering = dt. Streuung;Diffusion = gegenseitige Durchdringung)Es handelt sich um eine interaktive, audio-visuelle Performance, die die Materialitäten der Ausstellung aufgreift und die BesucherInnen einlädt einen Bild-Klang-Teppich zu erzeugen.TONEBENE:Dabei werden vier Mikrofone an vier Stationen installiert, um vier verschiedene Soundlayer zu erzeugen. BesucherInnen generieren die Sounds, in dem z.B. in die Haptik Box gefasst, der Luftsampler eingeschaltet, die Seide der Handboks oder die Rattanstrukturen berührt werden. Die Soundlayer überlagern sich und werden vom Sound Artist Siamend Darwesh in ein athmosphärisches Soundscape übersetzt.BILDEBENE:Parallel dazu werden von den BesucherInnen mikroskopische Materialaufnahmen gesammelt und in die Live-Video-Manipulationssoftware Touch Designer gesendet. TeilnehmerInnen sind auch eingeladen ihre eigenen Gesichter oder andere Körperteile visuell zu integrieren, um eine Art Vermischung zwischen Mensch und Materie zu suggerieren. Durch die mikroskopische Vergrößerung verwandelt sich Bimsstein in eine Kraterlandschaft und winzige Sandkörner erscheinen so groß wie Felsen. Die Video Aufnahmen werden von der Medienkünstlerin Maria Kobylenko gelayert, während der Sound Input Effekte auslöst._____ SCATTERED DIFFUSIONAn interactive audio-visual performance in the context of the &quot;Stretching Materialities&quot; exhibition. This performance is about creating together an atmosphere of different material states, digital and physical-sensual. Fragmentary reflections of the philosopher Jane Bennet will be included. It is an interactive, audio-visual performance that takes up the materialities of the exhibition and invites visitors to create a tapestry of images and sounds.SOUND LEVEL:This involves installing four microphones at four stations to create four different layers of sound. Visitors generate the sounds by, for example, grasping the Haptik Box, switching on the air sampler, touching the silk of the Handboks or the rattan structures. The sound layers overlap and are translated into an athmospheric soundscape by sound artist Siamend Darwesh.VISUAL LEVEL:In parallel, microscopic footage will be collected from visitors and sent into the live video manipulation software Touch Designer. Participants are also invited to visually integrate their own faces or other body parts to suggest a kind of blending between human and matter. Microscopic magnification transforms pumice into a cratered landscape and tiny grains of sand appear as large as rocks. The video recordings are layered by the media artist Maria Kobylenko, while the sound input triggers effects. _______The exhibition is curated by multidisciplinary scientists and designers of the project Object Space Agency of the Cluster of Excellence »Matters of Activity« of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin under the direction of Prof. Dr. Claudia Blümle and Clemens Winkler.As a prerequisite for a visit, the following rules apply from 19.02.2022 (https://tieranatomisches-theater.de/front-page/contact/):Exhibitions- FFP2 masks compulsoryEvents (guided tours, openings, workshops, lectures) :- 3G (fully vaccinated, recovered or negative rapid test issued by official testing agency).- FFP2 mask obligationPersons with cold symptoms (even mild) are asked to refrain from visiting. The exhibition is open from September 17th, 2021 to March 4th, 2022, every Monday to Friday from 2-6pm.
