"Oh Sister!", A Ukranian Story of Female Resilience | Film Premiere

On June 20-24, 2022, three female Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Tawakkol Karman of Yemen, Jody Williams of USA, and Leymah Gbowee of Liberia, visited Krakow, Poland, and Lviv, Ukraine, to join Ukrainian women in their fight for peace, human dignity and independence.

Building on the laureates´ journey, the Nobel Women’s Initiative in partnership with the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, United for Ukraine and other international supporters, commissioned the documentary Oh, Sister! to reflect on the personal stories of female leadership and resilience of ordinary Ukrainian citizens who have also revealed themselves as outstanding fighters for peace, models of resilience, courage and humility.

This film is to pay tribute to those extraordinary women who are the bedrock of Ukrainian resilience in the ongoing war.
