About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Camila Nebbia – tenor sax

James Banner – double bass

Max Andrzejewski – drums

Founded collaboratively, this trio of established Berlin-based soloists brings a raw impulse to their original music alongside mutations and regenerations of ritualistic forms, rooted across improvised music, jazz, rock and noise. Initiated with a desire to get back to their previous experiences within collective bands of their youth, material is contributed, co- composed and developed by all 3 members - this forms the foundation for their uninhibited and urgent approach to improvisation. Through their combined experience as composers and improvisers not only in jazz and improvised music, but also in contemporary and new music, they explore the edges of what currently exists in the long- established framework of the 'chordless trio'.

From exhibitions to artist talks, political discussions, theater performances to experimental music, contemporary global beats, futuristic performances, LGBTQI+ projects, and social activism – PANDA platforma is an important stage and meeting point for international art and culture makers as well as democratic thinkers in Berlin.

PANDA platforma exists as a non-profit association since 2009 in the very central location for the Berlin art scene in the Kulturbrauerei. During this time, PANDA has developed into an international and interdisciplinary art, participation, and cultural platform. PANDA has become a significant address for alternative global art in Berlin. As an interdisciplinary and open-format art venue, PANDA places great value on integrative and innovative formats.
