In this hackathon we want to find ways to further improve the user centered design process and therefore leverage user centricity.

<h1>Challenge</h1>Customer success is important to us, as we believe in a world where our technology helps everyone to grow. We know that user centered design is a crucial element to the success of a product or service. In this hackathon we want to find ways to further improve the user centered design process, by optimising processes and develop tools or products that leverage user centricity.The user centered design process consists of 4 phases. There is a challenge for each phase. Pick the challenge you feel like solving, build a tool, product or click dummy and win prizes. It's that simple.

<h1>Categories</h1>We offer three separate categories for you to compete in. Each of them has its unique judging criteria. Choose the category that best suits your interests or skills. For each category there will be one winning team, that takes home the prize. You may compete in multiple categories with the same solution.<h2>Best running Software</h2>Expected result: Running SoftwareJudging criteria:<ul><li>Document, which contains description of the idea and architecture overview</li><li>Software can be executed</li><li>README file, explaining how the software can be run and used</li></ul><h3></h3><h2>Highest AI Value</h2>Expected result: Running Software or NotebookJudging criteria:<ul><li>How well does the AI perform?</li><li>What value does the AI provide?</li><li>What processes can the AI automate?</li></ul><h3></h3><h2>Best UX</h2>Expected result: Open file (Figma, XD, sketch etc.) BONUS: Click-DummyJudging criteria:<ul><li>Does the solution adhere to common UX Laws?</li><li>How well the challenge is covered and solved</li><li>How innovative/creative your concept is</li></ul><h1>Quickfacts</h1><ul><li>Maximum group size is 5. Don't worry, if you don't have a team yet. There will be a chance during the hackathon to find a team for you.</li><li>The hackathon will be held from Friday 17th September to Sunday 19th September 2021. All mentioned times are in CET / UTC+2.</li><li>There will be a total of 3 winners - one for every category. Winning team takes home 1.000€.</li><li>The hackathon will be held online. We will use Zoom, Miro and other tools for coordination.</li></ul><h1>Your benefits</h1><ul><li>Winning teams take home 1.000€ in total!</li><li>Get in touch with creative minds and experts from the industry.</li><li>Winners have the chance to develop their solution and will be supported by us.</li><li>Level up your skills in development, UI/UX and AI. Gain practical experience, with the help of coaches.</li><li>We will showcase winning teams and their submissions in all our channels or even make a case studio together</li><li>Each teams get a coach from their respective stream, who helps them to reach their goals during the hackathon.</li></ul><h3></h3><h1>FAQ</h1>Where does the hackathon take place?The Hackathon takes place online. An invitation to a zoom call will be sent out shortly before the start.When is the Hackathon?The hackathon will take place from 17th September 2021 to 19th September 2021When will the winners be announced?Winners Will be announced one week after the hackathon ends.I don't have a team. Can I stillSure thing! There will be a team building session at the beginning of the hackathon. If you don't have a team by then, this is the chance! We improved the team building process for the upcoming hackathon. We will send out more information soon.How do the teams get together?During the registration process you will have to create a new team or join an existing team. If you create a new team you can share the team information with your friends so they can easily join.Who organises the Hackathon?The Hackathon is organised by NanoGaints. Contact us anytime via hackthons@nanogiants.de.What does the participation cost?The participation is free of charge.How do we present our ideas?There will be a submission sheet where you can enter all relevant information. Fill this sheet out until end of the event.How can I get in contact with you in general?Before and after the hackathon you can reach us at hackathons@nanogiants.de.How can I ask questions in between?During the event we have a slack channel where you can ask all your questions.Who has the rights to the developed solutions?The winner has to assign the rights for use and further development to NanoGiants. All other participants must grant the NanoGiants the right to use their applications as a result of the workshop for marketing purposes.Who is on the jury?The jury consists of the three coaches, who are responsible for the respective category (i.e. development, AI, UX).What are the criteria used by the jury?The judging criteria for each stream is described above.I work at the NanoGiants. Can I participate and win?NanoGiants employees are welcome to participate in the hackathon, but cannot receive any prize money. NanoGiants who are interested in participating should contact the organiser for further details.Do you provide any resources to get me started (e.g. datasets, links to tutorials)?Yes! We prepared a linktr.ee with resources for UX, AI, Frameworks, Low Code Tools, Datasets and more. Take a look: TBDI am no pro at AI or UX. Can I still participate?Sure thing! The goal of this hackathon is to provide solutions for a real world problem. So creativity and thinking on valuable solutions is as important. You can contribute this way! Also we will send out resources for you to deep dive into either one. Additionally we will hold a keynote with further information what UX is.
