About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia, initiated by Synopsys Inc., supports the development of the IT sector in Armenia and beyond. Aimed at engineers and students under 30, it promotes interest in microelectronics, recognizes young talent, informs curriculum development, and builds a global community of future experts.

You can register for the first stage of the Olympiad here. The local round at KIT is organized by the KIT Chipdesign House (KCH). More information and past exams for preparation are available at our project site kch.dev/olympiad. Further information about the final stage can be found on the international event site, microelectronicsolympiad.org.

About the test:

  • Multiple choice
  • 1 hour duration
  • Training materials available online
  • Not an official KIT exam (no ECTS awarded)
  • The top student in Germany will be invited to the finals in Armenia
  • Participants and winners will be awarded certificates

  • Analog and Mixed Signal IC Design and Test
  • Semiconductor Devices and Technology
  • Mathematical and Algorithmic Issues of EDA

Eligibility:

  • You must be a student at KIT
  • You must be under 30 years old

Register / Unregister:

  • You can register here up to 27.07.2025 11:59 PM.
  • If you can't attend the event, you don't have to unregister.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any participation fees?

Participation is free: For the first stage, there are no fees. For the second stage, international finalists in usually have to pay for accommodation by themselves. For the finalist sent by KIT, KCH will cover this cost.
