<h3>October 5-7, 2026</h3>Alter Behring-Gutshof, Marburg, Germany <h3>Scope</h3>This meeting aims to bring together scientists from Germany and abroad to discuss the latest results and developments in the field of bacterial and archaeal cell biology. It covers the full breadth of this research area, including topics such as:<ul><li>Cell wall biosynthesis &amp; cell division</li><li>DNA organization &amp; dynamics</li><li>Membrane compartments, microcompartments &amp; biomolecular condensates</li><li>Secretion systems &amp; cell motility</li><li>Cellular signalling, cell cycle regulation &amp; development</li><li>Metabolic superstructures</li><li>Multicellular organization</li><li>Imaging techniques</li><li>etc</li></ul> <h3>Program</h3>The scientific program comprises five sessions with talks given by international keynote speakers as well as speakers selected on the basis of submitted abstracts. A poster session will provide additional opportunities for scientific discussions. Moreover, early-career scientists will have the ability to interact with invited speakers in Meet-the-Speakers sessions.Beginning: October 5, 2026 at 13:00End: October 7, 2026 at 14:00Invited speakers:<ul><li>Anjana Badrinarayanan (National Centre for Biological Sciences, India)</li><li>Christophe Grangeasse (CNRS, France)</li><li>Luning Liu (University of Liverpool, UK)</li><li>Tessa Quax (University of Groningen, Netherlands)</li><li>Susan Schlimpert (John Innes Centre, UK)</li></ul>A detailed program will be available about four weeks before the start of the meeting. <h3>Venue</h3>The meeting will take place at the "Alter Behring-Gutshof", a historic manor house close to the city center of <a href="https://www.marburg-tourismus.de/bilder" title="https://www.marburg-tourismus.de/bilder" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Marburg</a> that has been remodeled into an event and conference location. It offers a cozy and interactive environment that fosters interactions among the participants.Please note that, due to its historic nature, the conference venue is not fully barrier-free.

<h3>Registration</h3>The registration deadline is: September 21, 2026The conference fees are<ul><li>180 € for PhD and undergraduate students</li><li>290 € for group leaders, postdocs and industry representatives</li></ul>The fees include coffee breaks as well as lunches and dinners at the conference venue.To register, please select the number of tickets you would like to purchase below and then check out using the red botton at the top of this web page.
