Description
Hidden suffering: Today, more and more people around the world suffer from loneliness. This issue is not only affecting old or sick but also young people - especially in larger cities such as Berlin.
But what can cities do to counter the increasing loneliness and social isolation of their citizens? What can we do as ordinary citizens to support members of our community who suffer from loneliness?
With this workshop, we want to bring together people from different backgrounds and ages to discuss and learn more about this issue. The goal is to develop and co-create together impactful ideas and solutions. Using a design thinking approach, we will work with the central question: "How can we help people in Berlin out of loneliness and strengthen a sense of community in our local neighborhood?".
What's in for you?
- Get to know and connect with people from the local neighborhood
- Learn (more) about urban loneliness and its causes
- Lean how to apply creativity and innovation methods in practice
With this workshop, we are piloting a new workshop format. It is organised and facilitated entirely by volunteers, and tickets are limited. Therefore, please register only if you really plan to take part in the workshop and make sure you cancel your ticket if your plan changes.
We will reserve a table in a nearby restaurant for a joint dinner after the workshop (at your own costs). We have included a question in the registration form, so you can let us know if you want to join.
