About this event

  • 3 hours

Join me for a hands-on clay workshop where you'll get the chance to unleash your creativity and make a unique utility piece. Whether you're starting or have some experience this event is perfect for you!

You'll learn various clay hand building techniques and create a practical item with character. I will guide you through the process, from shaping the clay to adding personalized details.

In this practice we will:

  1. Study the inspiration (your puppy for example) that each of you can bring for this project.
  2. Make a sketch that captures the personality
  3. Learn 3 basic techniques for handbuilding with clay
  4. Create a Cup, bowl, or plant pot small shape
  5. Learn how to add details that will transform it
  6. Paint it with underglazes

Key information:

  • You leave your piece here and have it glazed in 1 month
  • We work with high-temperature ceramics, which means your piece will go first to a bisque firing and then to a glazing firing. That is why it takes some patience to have it ready for you to take it home.
  • Held in English or Spanish
  • Bring an apron or a t-shirt that can get a bit dirty

No prior experience is necessary! This workshop is open to all skill levels, so don't worry if you're a beginner. Bring your willingness to experiment!
