Challenges

Ready to shape the future with us? Take up your chance and work on one of 5 different challenges. The winner takes it all! Compete against others and earn amazing prizes for outstanding results!

1. #Greentech | SIEMENS

Make climate action practical and fun!

“The CO2 concentration in our atmosphere has increased to a historical height of 412ppm according to NASA¹. Experts state that the world needs to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 to limit global warming to 1.5C. Technology and digital solutions are core-enablers for the transition to a carbon-neutral economy, but they might be hard to grasp and can appear complicated. Let’s appeal to people’s “Sportsgeist” and bring them closer to digital technology ...
Help us develop a gamification platform for villages and municipalities where citizens can compete on sustainability and CO2 reduction and push their activities forward to real climate action!”

2. #PayAsYouDrive | HUK Coburg

Let’s get people drive better and save on their car insurance! Car insurance often seems way too expensive and customers cannot do anything about the amount they pay, right? HUK-COBURG is challenging this model with “Telematik Plus” which is a smart “pay-as-you-drive” solution. Good driving behavior is rewarded with discounts of up to 30% OFF the insurance fee. But how can you encourage customers to improve their driving behavior? Take on this challenge and develop a driving style analysis based on real driving data and offer users the possibility to playfully bring their driving values to the next level through gamification or similar approaches!

3. #DigitalLifeLine | NÜRNBERGER Versicherung

No panic on the Titanic - the digital solution for your home in case of water ingress and mold You wake up at night, get out of bed and ...step into the water. Are you dreaming? No. Water damage has haunted you. A thousand questions go through your head: Where does the water come from? What has already been damaged? Can I somehow shut off the main water pipe? What do I have to do next? What are the costs now? What does my insurance cover? It shouldn't get that far. A digital lifeline could be the solution. A kind of device that is activated as soon as it comes into contact with water. A sort of time alarm that allows you to act before the damage occurs or act for you in case you’re not around.
Take on this challenge and help people prevent water damages!

4. #AlwaysUpToDate | N-ERGIE & VAG

Being on time has never been more in style
Relying on public transport is sometimes quite adventurous. Will my bus be on time? Is my route under construction? Do I have to change to another line? We’ve all been there. Especially when you are in a rush, immediate information is a must! Unfortunately, most push-notifications about possible incidents or delays are still created by human beings and therefore not always 100 % accurate or come fast enough. Thanks to VAG’s line status, current traffic conditions will be analyzed and reported automatically based on real-time information to send status updates to the customers. Help us create a top-notch user experience by harmonizing the different alert types to make sure customers can differentiate between the varying alerts and to increase the user acceptance of Line Status!

5. #RemoteDiagnosis | Schaeffler

This is no longer science fiction: Telemedicine for machines
Our smartphone happens to be our daily companion. Whether we use it privately or for our working life: the phone is always with us. No wonder, it is now even able to do remote diagnosis for anything - for example machines when they don’t work properly anymore. Thanks to Schaeffler’s Condition Assistant App, customers are now capable of checking machine errors with their smartphone by uploading sound files of the corresponding machine. Unfortunately, the actual analysis, as well as the payment, are still decentralized meaning experts and clients have to leave the app to finish their tasks. Let’s fix it together! Help us create a better user experience of the app by fully automating the processes mentioned above and the development of functionalities aiming to create a simple and effective custom platform for any analysis for condition monitoring.
