Two incredible days of hacking action and connecting with like-minded folks are waiting for you.WHEN: May 23 & 24WHERE: Z-Bau, Frankenstr. 200, 90461 NürnbergWe are looking forward to an awesome community spirit and the creative, innovative solutions the teams will come up with.Everyone is welcome – regardless of background, (hackathon) experience and skills.
PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
The event takes place entirely on site in Nuremberg at Z-Bau. Please bring your laptop and any other tools you may need (e.g. charger, mouse, USB drive, adapter).Besides that, you are provided with everything you need (think drinks, food, mentoring, and, of course, a great community) to get the full HACK|BAY experience. There are even some beds available on site so you can spend the night there.(If you would like to stay overnight, please let us know in advance via events@zollhof.de. And who knows – maybe you even win one of the prizes or meet your future employer.During the two days, experts will be at your side and provide mentoring whenever it’s needed. You never walk alone, even if it’s your first hackathon experience.

CHALLENGE SIEMENS HEALTHINEERS
IMPROVE CHILDREN’S RADIOLOGY EXPERIENCE5-year-old Sophia recently developed some pretty bad headaches which made her pediatrician decide it’s best to send her for an MRI examination. Her parents have little experience with what this entails and are a bit worried. Sophia feels her parents’ insecurity and gets anxious. Every 10th examination involves a child – with staggering failure rates of 30-50%. This results in stress for all stakeholders involved, high sedation rates that might cause side effects as well as longer procedure times and higher costs. Since children differ significantly in their cognitive and emotional needs from other patient groups, child- and parent-friendly education is very important. This is often not standardized in clinics. We need your ingenious ideas on how to make the MRI scan experience better for pediatric patients and on how to prepare them already weeks before the appointment to the day itself and possibly even afterwards.Create an outstanding patient-centered solution that also considers parents. Develop an immersive and interactive experience (e.g. with augmented reality or other technologies) that reduces anxiety, fear and stress for children, by enhancing their perception and providing them with a sense of control, comfort, safety – and fun.Your solution should be engaging, accessible and easy to use, while addressing the specific needs of pediatric care.
CHALLENGE DATEV
DISRUPTING HR PROCESSES WITH AIImagine you work in HR and have to scan a couple of hundred applications every week. Then, after having manually answered all the questions the potential candidates had, you’d like to invite the most promising ones to a first interview. However, for some applicants you can only offer a time slot in several weeks due to your and your colleagues’ limited capacities. It would make life much easier – both for HR teams and for (future) employees – if AI were used to automate processes, thus speed them up, and find the best matches for open positions.Together with you, your game-changing ideas and the power of AI we want to create the most innovative solutions with a top-notch user experience. Shape the future of HR considering a maximum in data security in order to build strong trust among potential user groups. Redesign existing and repetitive processes in a way that enables faster, more effective and automated management or ensures easy collaboration. Feel free to consider different areas of an HR journey, no matter if it’s recruiting, smooth onboarding, or individualized employee development tailored to specific strenghts. Increasing candidate diversity could also be an aspect to think about.Incorporate machine learning, chatbots and speech analytics to achieve a stellar and seamless user experience. The goal is to find innovative solutions that create a better employee experience and make work processes more effective and efficient. Be bold and curious! Keep an eye on the integrability into existing environments, on the requirements of different employee generations and on the future of the internet.
CHALLENGE WILD CARD
GO WILDYou already have a brilliant idea buzzing around your head that you would love to tackle? No worries, our wild card got you covered!Become a game-changer in any area you would like to. Just keep in mind that your solution should tackle a significant challenge and make an impactful contribution. And don’t forget to use the latest technology to create your prototype. We can’t wait to learn about your idea and hear you and your team pitch!
PRIZES
OVERALL BEST2.000€ in CashBEST TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION1.500€ in CashBEST USE CASE1.500€ in Cash
SCHEDULE
TUESDAY, MAY 23 8:00 - 09:00 | Arrival & Check-In 09:00 - 10:30 | Welcome including Presentation of Challenges 10:30 - 12:00 | Team Up & Ideation 12:00 - 14:00 | Lunch & Start Hacking 13:00 - 14:00 | optional: Workshop - Useful Hackathon Skills and Methods 17:00 - 18:00 | Community Evening including Impulse Talks by various Meetup Groups (e.g. GDG Nuremberg, FrankenJS, Data Science & AI) 18:00 - 20:00 | Dinner & Community Evening (Networking Time) 20:00 - open end | Hacking Time & Community Evening (Networking Time) WEDNESDAY, MAY 24 08:00 - 10:00 | Breakfast 11:00 - 12:00 | optional: Pitch Feedback Sessions 12:00 - 14:00 | Lunch 13:00 - 14:00 | optional: Pitch Feedback Sessions 15:30 - 17:00 | Semi Finals 18:00 - 20:00 | Grand Finale including Keynotes & Final Pitches 20:00 - open end |BarbecueFor more information please check out our website:www.hackbay.de
