Eine Paraderolle für Corinna Harfouch!” Ute Büsing auf RBB Radio Kultur (08.06.2021) Um eine ehrlichere Auseinandersetzung mit dem Asylrecht in der deutschen Gesellschaft einzufordern, hat das transnationale Team von suite42 eine völlig neue hybride Form geschaffen, die nur live im Theater zu erleben ist: eine begehbare Installation mit sechs simultanen Filmen. Diese setzen sich aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln mit dem deutschen Asylrecht auseinander. Im Fokus stehen nicht die Fluchtgeschichten, sondern die individuellen Handlungsspielräume und die damit verbundene Verantwortung, die Justizexpert:innen in deutschen Asylverfahren haben. Am Beispiel einer Strafrichterin (Corinna Harfouch) wird erfahrbar, welchen Beeinflussungen sie bei ihrer Entscheidungsfindung ausgesetzt sind, welche Bedeutung der persönlichen Betroffenheit zukommen kann und welch lebenswichtigen Unterschied die kleinste Akzentverschiebung bei der Gesetzesauslegung macht.Weitere Informationen / more info: http://www.suite42.org/produktionen/gerecht/Trailer: https://vimeo.com/599465040/9802567384

JUSTice - ASYLUM LAW: PARAGRAPHS AND REALITYImmersive film installation in the theatre by suite42, Episode 1The Piece:In order to call for a more honest discussion of asylum law in German society, the transnational team of suite42 has created completely new presentation form, which can only be experienced live in a theatre: a walk-in installation with six simultaneous films. These deal with the German asylum law from different perspectives. The focus is not on the stories of refugees, but on the individual scope for action and the associated responsibility that justice experts have in German asylum procedures. The example of a criminal judge (Corinna Harfouch) makes it possible to experience the influences to which they are exposed in their decision-making, the importance that can be attached to personal involvement and the vital difference that the smallest shift in emphasis makes in the interpretation of the law.
