About this event

Immerse yourself in the world of Design Thinking in a short and sweet, compact 4-hour interactive workshop at BHT Startup Hub.

Are you an EXIST Women participant ready to launch and advance your venture? This workshop is custom-designed for you. It is also ideal for early-stage startups, whether they have a clear idea or are still in the ideation phase.

Join us for a session with Kathleen Kinzel, an experienced consultant, SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences lecturer, and entrepreneur. With over a decade of experience in project management and consulting and a postgraduate specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Harvard Business School Online, Kathleen brings extensive expertise to her role as your workshop coach. Her hands-on approach and dedication to fostering innovation and creativity make her an invaluable asset. As a founder herself, Kathleen understands the challenges and opportunities of navigating today's competitive business landscape.

Workshop Objectives and Content:

  • Introducing Design Thinking: Explore this methodology as a powerful tool for problem-solving and innovation for your startup. Learn about the mindset and basic principles of Design Thinking.
  • Understanding and Analyzing User Needs: Develop a deep insight into user needs and challenges through persona creation and journey mapping methods.
  • Problem Clarification: By observing users and identifying their needs and pain points, you’ll better understand the problem your startup is trying to solve.
  • Encouraging Creativity, Idea Generation, and Refinement:
  • Utilize Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) techniques to foster creativity, generate fresh ideas, and refine solutions. This iterative process ensures that ideas evolve, overcome cognitive fixations, and lead to more robust outcomes.
  • Practical Application of Prototyping and Testing: Engage hands-on on prototyping methods and test strategies to assess the feasibility of ideas and concepts.

By the end of this workshop, you will be equipped with the skills, methods, and tools necessary to navigate the innovation process and apply these insights to your startup project.
