The hackathon is open to entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and anyone interested or skilled in business and deep tech innovation.

Do I need to have a technical background to participate?

Accepted Answer

No, while a technical background can be beneficial, we encourage participants from all disciplines including business, marketing, and design to attend.

What should I bring to the event?

Accepted Answer

Bring your laptop, any necessary chargers, and an open mind ready for collaboration. We will provide food, drinks, and all necessary materials.

Will there be internet access?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we will provide Wi-Fi access for all participants.

Can I come with a pre-formed team?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can come with a pre-formed team, but if you don't have a team you can apply as an individual. We also encourage networking and forming new teams during the event. The end pitch should incorporate the technologies from one of the research challenges

Do I need to form a company with my team?

Accepted Answer

No. You can join a team just to help out, experience the process of business ideation, and lend your expertise and experience. Of course, we hope you find the experience so exciting and rewarding that you go on to create Berlin's next big deep tech company!

Will there be prizes for the best pitches?

Accepted Answer

Maybe. We are working on prizes, but the biggest prize of all should be finding inspiration and possibly a new team to build an amazing company with.

Do I need to develop a full software prototype?

Accepted Answer

No, the focus is on creating compelling business ideas and pitch decks. However, demos are always welcome if you can make them.
