The Performers:
Mo Kheir - the comedian who’s still trying to figure out if he's more confused by German bureaucracy or German bread. Born in Africa, lived in Asia, and now baffled in Europe, Mo has spent 5 years turning his cultural misadventures into hilarious stories. Watch him navigate the wild world of integration in Germany, one punchline at a time. Come for the laughs, stay to see if Mo finally cracks the code of German efficiency!
Saqib Rasul - Originally from Pakistan, Saqib moved around as a kid and grew up in the Middle East and Australia, before settling in Germany, where he continues his efforts to finally grow up.
All throughout his childhood, Saqib was the odd one out, a little awkward, and, according to his therapist, he was destined for comedy even then. On a hot and humid afternoon in a boardroom meeting, during one of those awkward presentations no one ever listens to, Saqib discovered his love for making people laugh.
Saqib's humour is observational, silly, personal, and definitely influenced by not only his many moves around the world, but also his continued efforts to become a fully vested adult. A master of words, his jokes are short and precise, like a surgeon's knife. They sometimes cut deeply, mostly at his own expense. Coupled with deadpan delivery, he can very quickly take an audience on a journey into his world.
The result: Loud and non stop laughter. Saqib is a favorite of the Frankfurt Comedy Scene and has performed all over Germany as well as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Kofi Safro - hails from Accra, Ghana. He started out in 2017 as part of the Pioneers of English Comedy in Budapest, Hungary, and has since performed in the US, Hungary, Czech Republic & around Germany.
Fernando Acosta - Caribbean guy leaves the nice and warm tropics of Costa Rica to make it in Central Europe. After the constant harassment of the German law to get a job, instead of going to a schrink he falls in the hands of comedy. About his life here an there, stereotypes, social matters and a bit of irony of things is his comedy about.
The Host:
Mathis Ali Gonzalez - Jokes: Silly, but dark. Ethnicity: Ambiguous.
He claims American, looks Indian, German first name, Spanish last name, "Ali" in the middle for no apparent reason. His comedy keeps you on your toes at least as much as his looks, diving into murky subject matters, but always with a goofy edge.
