About this event

This 4-week online introduction course offers an exploration into the practice of mindfulness meditation. Each week will introduce a different mindfulness meditation technique, followed by a short practice, and then an opportunity to ask questions and engage in sharing.

The practice of meditation, as life itself, is not linear. Some days the practice can flow wonderfully, and others find us bumping up against restlessness, inner chaos, or a wandering mind- and sometimes all that and more in one short sitting. That's not only normal, it’s OK. We can even learn to make friends with it. There is no one-size-fits-all approach and throughout the four weeks, we will explore various techniques and variations that can be applied.

While designed as an introductory course, these foundational principles are appropriate for individuals of any level of experience, from beginners to established practitioners.

The four sessions will be conducted on Zoom.

Each session will build on each other but you are welcome to join at any point over the four weeks.

This course is thoughtfully crafted with the desire for it to be accessible and welcoming to participants of all backgrounds, nationalities, religions, sexes, races, genders, neurotypes, and abilities.

This course is freely offered, with donations gratefully accepted.

I am currently deepening my practice by studying mindfulness meditation teaching with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach in the 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training.
