Berlin Native Plants - Workshop

Berlin Native Plants - Workshop

Overview

Discover the hidden connections between native plants, butterflies, and biodiversity!

Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the importance of native plants for urban biodiversity and butterflies.

The workshop will take place in the Butterfly Garden at Dammweg.

We will combine direct observation of plants in the garden with an introductory talk on native plants and their role in supporting butterflies.

Together, we will sow native plant seeds and contribute to increasing biodiversity in our urban environment. We’ll also finish with a creative activity inspired by plants and nature.

For this workshop, we invited Çagla, a botanist and Biodiversity & Evolution Master’s student at Freie Universität Berlin, who is going to share her knowledge on the topic.

After the workshop, everyone is welcome to stay for a picnic in the garden and enjoy the space together.

This workshop is part of the project “Butterflies’ Garden: An Urban Habitat for Biodiversity and Community Learning”, supported by IUCN Save Our Species (SOS) and co-funded by the European Union.

I hope to see you in the Butterfly Garden!
