About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

This Hybrid Acting Master Class gives you first hand experience of the way Tom coaches and directs actors. In this class, you'll learn about a clear, practical set of tools for text analysis and rehearsal that will allow you to feel relaxed, grounded and confident for every performance! This is also an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the film, tv and theater industry!

In this class, instruction is done by way of demonstration. So attendees may volunteer to perform a 1-2 minute monologue and receive personalized coaching in front of the group! Tom will coach several actors on their prepared pieces to demonstrate how to use Guideposts, Viewpoints, Vocal Variation and The Four Agreements to craft the most dynamic, compelling performance possible.

Attendees are also welcome to observe only! Tom will answer questions from the group at the end.

PLEASE NOTE - This course will be a hybrid event: It will take place at our festical center elaya Oberursel and Tom will be working with you online from New York. If you prefer, you can also take the class from home - however, we would like to encourage you to come to our festival center to enjoy this as a group and meet your peers.

The course will be held in English. However, you are not required to speak and may only observe / listen depending on your preference.
