Academy on "German Public Law, German Political, Constitutional System"

Due to the success of the event and high demand, CPG will host the Academy in an online format from 27 February through March 8, 2023, providing an eight-teaching day intensive course about the characteristics of German public law and its high degree of enforcement in state and society.

Among the topics the Academy will cover are:

• the German Constitution’s foundation & fundaments,

• the design, powers, and performance of the Constitutional Court,

• basic rights,

• mechanisms and challenges of representative democracy,

• federalism and local (self-)governance,

• the rule of law

• legal methodology, court organization & case management

• the European perspective

• fundamentals of administrative law and procedure

• prospects and challenges for German constitutionalism in a changing world
