WHAT will we actually do?
- Learn how to identify and apply specific skills such as: Making assumtions about people, free association + word play, impressions + how to get out of a tricky situation
- Watch videos from pro comics: What techniques did these use here? Observe. Discuss. Practice.
- This class is 70% time on our feet! We will work in a safe, supportive environment! Fail big, fail again, try harder!
I have NEVER DONE COMEDY or are NEW TO COMEDY - Is this for me?
You should have done at least 20-25 sets.
I took your 101 course, Tera - Is this for me?
Absolutely. This is the next level.
I did not take your 101 course, Tera - Is this for me?
Yes! It is not necessary to have taken the 101 Course. Each course is independent of one another. However, If you are are newer to hosting and/or crowd work, it is strongly reccomended to take the 101 in the Autumn, because there are topics that are essential to hosting we will not cover in this deep dive. If you are experienced, it is perfect to join this course, without taking the 101.

I am ALREADY HOSTING - Will I learn anything?
Yes! Tera has 25 years stage experience and a Bachelors degree in Performance. Her first paying stage gig was in 2001. Even with all that experience, as recent as 2018, Tera was taking a 3 week improvisation course with a European master improviser and writing workshops. Being a good improviser does not just „happen“ naturally, it is a skill! Like any skill, you train for it!

THIS IS A 2 DAY WORKSHOP
Students should plan on seeing at least one live Comedy Show of their choice, as part of their Homework Assignment between sessions, where they are just watching
What if I have to miss one day or leave early one session?
Yes, that is fine! We have scheduled enough time that you can miss a session and still get a lot out of the course. If you do miss one class - you are welcome to take a future class, free of charge, to make up for it.
HOW much does it COST?
The cost of the Workshop will be

- 80€ Discounted for student or anyone who earns under 25K per year gross.
- + NOTE: There is a 5€ Book my Spot Fee that ensures your spot!
Spots are LIMITED to ensure max practice time!! Book ahead.
WHY does it cost money?
Art is a skill. Even with 25 years stage experience, I still pay for workshops. Workshops take hours of time: set up, planning, preparation, and years of experience. Therefore that time is worth money. There are no refunds on course fees, but if you cannot attend a session for any reason, you are welcome to take an upcoming class OR attend Tera´s comedy shows, for FREE to make up the difference you paid for ;)
Can I get an invoice for this workshop?
Of course! But you must do a bank transfer before the first session! Please email Tera for details!
Do you offer this workshop for specialty groups (corporate, students)?
Yes, but this would be a separate workshop we would arrange together. Email me!
