MAMMUT Safety Roadshow - Crans Montana (Morning)

Join a Mammut Safety Roadshow session and learn how to use Barryvox & Co. hands-on in the field!

Staying safe off-piste requires regular practice.

Certified mountain guides together with Mammut Safety experts, will teach essential safety knowledge for both beginners and experienced participants, live out in the field. The aim is to refresh your avalanche safety knowledge and practice using the necessary safety equipment.

If you wish, you will have the opportunity to test essential safety equipment, including a shovel, probe, Barryvox avalanche transceiver and avalanche airbag backpack. We will have enough equipment available for all participants, so no reservation is required. After the test equipment has been handed out, we will take the lift up into the terrain.

During the practical session on the mountain, you will learn how to use emergency equipment correctly, practice search scenarios and discuss how to organize first responders on site, as well as companion rescue. Proper probing techniques, efficient shoveling, general avalanche safety knowledge, test deployments of airbags and the correct use of avalanche airbag backpacks are also part of the program.

Are you already confident on your skis or snowboard and comfortable with the descent? Would you like to refresh your avalanche safety knowledge and practice using safety equipment with professionals? Then this Safety Roadshow session is exactly right for you!
