Cyber Valley Impulse on sustainability, environment and agriculture

Cyber Valley is Europe’s largest center of excellence for artificial intelligence and modern robotics. By creating a vibrant ecosystem, facilitating smooth collaboration and rapid knowledge-exchange between science, business, and society, we envision a future where the full potential of intelligent systems is leveraged for the greater good of the world.Cyber Valley stands for entrepreneurial spirit and is made up of three key parts: the Innovation Campus, the Company (GmbH), and the Community. Together, we aim to boost research, development, application, and acceptance of intelligent systems– with a strong focus on ethical and societal impacts. As a beacon and platform for the pioneers involved, we are actively helping to establish Baden-Württemberg on the global map of AI.

Join us for this Cyber Valley Impulse with the Zukunftsstiftung Remstal on the use of AI and robotics for a more sustainable future.

Remstalkellerei, Trollingersaal

Experts from research, industry, the public sector, and the Cyber Valley Community will exchange insights on how AI and robotics can have a positive impact on the environment and agriculture to contribute to a sustainable future for all.Advances in AI, machine learning, and robotics are making agricultural and landscape automation increasingly viable—raising key questions about which tasks to automate first, the future of farming systems, and how research, industry, and practice can drive this shift. With inputs from:

Wieland Brendel (ELLIS Institute Tübingen/Max-Planck-Institute for Intelligent Systems)

Paul Hofmann (ELLIS Institute Tübingen/Max-Planck-Institute for Intelligent Systems)

Peter Ohlhausen (NXT - Reutlingen University)

Zoe Rühlmann (SAM-DIMENSION)

Sebastian J. Schultheiss (Computomics)

Discussion topics include:

How could machine learning, robotics, and ecological intensification change the way we farm, maintain landscapes, and promote biodiversity in the Rems Valley and beyond?

What is needed to move agricultural robotics from research projects and prototypes into affordable, reliable, and commercially viable applications, and what role should each organization play?

Cyber Valley Impulses brings together leading scientists, start‑ups, corporates, and investors to share their research, success stories, and AI‑driven breakthroughs. This event is a collaboration between Zukunftsstiftung Remstal and Cyber Valley GmbH.
