This show's theme is family — in all its forms. Stories about the people who raised us, the ones we chose, the ones we lost, and the ones we became. Come ready to laugh, feel, and recognize yourself in someone else's story.

How much are tickets for THE BEAR Hamburg?

Tickets start at EUR 10. Your ticket donation helps keep THE BEAR running as a community event.

Is THE BEAR Hamburg in English or German?

Both! Stories are told in English and German. At the start of the evening, we check in with the audience so storytellers know who might be lost in translation. It's a genuinely bilingual night.

Can I tell a story at the show?

Yes — this is an open stage. Anyone in the audience can put their name in for a chance to tell a story connected to the theme "La Famiglia." Stories should be true, personal, and told without notes. Want feedback before the show? Send your story to hello@thebear-storytelling.de

How long are the stories?

Between 5 and 7 minutes. Our live musician gives gentle time cues to keep the evening dynamic.

Is THE BEAR suitable for first-timers?

Absolutely. Many people come alone and leave feeling connected. There will be a short intro at the start of the evening explaining how everything works.

Is there live music at the show?

Yes — live music is woven throughout the evening, between and alongside the stories.

Is there a bar at the venue? Is there food?

Accepted Answer

Yes, drinks are available at average prices. And there is a cafe at the venue for cakes and snacks.
