In a break with the traditional format of paper-based presentations, we are inviting authors and keynote speakers to engage in a series of live conversations throughout the conference week. To prepare for these conversations, you can read related abstracts and watch pre-recorded talks on our website: <a href="https://informationplusconference.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://informationplusconference.com/</a>Live events Sept 27–Oct 1: There are two conversations each day separated by a break with a set of related activities. Live events will not be recorded. Similar to participating in a conference, the goal is to promote community building and engagement among all those able to participate.Conversations: Check the schedule for the conversations among keynote speakers, contributing authors and participants. Attendees can submit questions via the chat or raise hands to voice questions on the Zoom platform. Schedule: <a href="https://informationplusconference.com/2021/#schedule" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://informationplusconference.com/2021/#schedule</a> Breaks: In keeping with the conversation-based conference format, there will be an opportunity each day (10-11am EST) for attendees to engage in impromptu activities together, some of which will be moderated. These will occur in a variety of breakout rooms in Zoom. In order to stimulate lively and even unconventional conference interactions, these breakout rooms will have their own themes. Some of these, we have developed ourselves. Alternative breakout rooms can be proposed up to a day beforehand by attendees, as long as they are willing to moderate if necessary. Seats are limited and sign-up will be part of the registration process. Instead of a fixed fee, we are asking participants to pay what they can from free to generous. We suggest a contribution of 25 EUR. Proceeds will go towards the cost of an open access journal issue featuring authors from the conference. By publishing the journal issue in an open access format, we aim to make it accessible to a diverse community of academics and practitioners.Code of Conduct: Information+ is committed to enabling a diverse, inclusive and respectful environment where all participants can learn, network, and enjoy planned activities.
