Premiere of the sound and video performance "A Chronicle of Slowness" at Theater am Rand.

On September 26, 2024, teatreBLAU, in collaboration with the <a href="https://www.monascollective.com/" title="https://www.monascollective.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MONAS Collective</a>, will present the premiere of the sound and video performance A Chronicle of Slowness at Theater am Rand. Sound profiles of plants, moor and grassland will be transmitted into the theatre space via microphones and sensors, and the MONAS Collective will respond with musical improvisations by Kurt Holzkämper and texts by Hubert Wiggering and others, read by Cornelia Heyse. Environmental data from the landscape is visually transformed and together with microorganisms from the moor reactor, an aquarium containing moor, projected onto a screen. Via pre-produced videos, the audience gets to know the rural surroundings of Theater am Rand. A dialogue between landscape and art that allows the natural environment to be experienced as an actor in its slowness. Artists, scientists and actors will have their say in a concluding round of talks. The audience on site and the audience in other locations, which will be connected in the live streaming of the event via the Digital Stage, is cordially invited to take part in the discussion.This ticket is only valid for attending the event online. The festival gLOKALE 2024 – “On Places” – explores little-known sites for a wide audience, and by artistic narratives and projections brings them to vivid life in the depth of their history. teatreBLAU aims to take its local and international audience on a journey to special sites and invite it to reflect on how we inhabit places and attach ourselves to them.There are five gLOKALE 2024 events being planned at it to reflect on how we inhabit places and attach ourselves to them.Kleistforum in Frankfurt (Oder)/Germany, Club Pollença in Pollenca/Mallorca; at Theater am Rand in the Oderbruch region/Germany; at Sardegna Teatro in Cagliari/Italy; at Teatro del Sótano, Barcelona/Spain, and at Frontón in Sineu/Mallorca.
