The Southwest Soil and Crop Improvement Association which represented Essex, Kent, Lambton, Middlesex and Elgin county Soil and Crop Improvement Associations in conjuction with strategic partners representing industry, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), and the University of Guelph, Ridgetown, evolved into the Southwest Agricultural Conference (SWAC) steering committee.
