Caribbean American Poetry Association
The Caribbean American Poetry Association (CAPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Caribbean poetry in the United States; promoting the work of Caribbean-American poets; and, bringing Caribbean-American poetry to the widest possible audiences.
Based on Long Island, New York, CAPA hosts poetry readings and participates in many poetry-related events to showcase and celebrate the rich culture of the Caribbean!
CAPA's signature event, a Juneteenth Poetry Reading, celebrates National Caribbean Heritage Month!
CAPA was founded in 2015 by Dr. Beryl Williams who hails from Dominica, the Nature Isles of the Caribbean!
