True Story London
Founded in 2019, True Story London is a welcoming community dedicated to the art of true, personal storytelling. We began with a simple idea: to connect people through stories. Today, we are proud to host regular LIVE shows at The Phoenix Cavendish Square, where storytellers and audiences come together in a warm and open atmosphere, and monthly social workshops at The Kings Arms, Borough (near London Bridge station) and online via Zoom.
Our events are not just performances; they are a reflection of the human experience, a platform for diverse voices, and a space for genuine connection. Whether we’re laughing, crying, or both, or having our experiences reflected or our thinking updated, each story shared on our stage taps into some universal truth.
Beyond our LIVE shows, we run free or donation-based monthly workshops in person and online, called True Story DRAFT, that are designed to help new and experienced storytellers alike to craft and refine their narratives with the help of a friendly group and True Story coaches.
We host the True Story Podcast which features a selection of stories from our events along with interviews of the storytellers to explore the behind the scenes and backstory.
We invite you to join our community. For more information on our events, workshops, and other initiatives, please visit us at truestorylondon.com.
