Animal Humane Society

As the leading animal welfare organization in the Upper Midwest, Animal Humane Society provides extensive medical treatment, surgery, behavior modification, and foster care, ensuring that all animals — even those with special challenges — are given a safe refuge and the second chance they deserve.

But we’re more than a shelter offering adoption. We provide free, friendly pet advice and resources, affordable veterinary care, and assistance to pet parents in underserved communities. Plus, we’re working to end animal abuse in Minnesota, and hosting programs for kids of all ages, creating a new generation of animal lovers.

AHS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We receive no government funding and are funded solely by private donations, adoption and program fees, and special events like the Walk for Animals.
