Overview

Symbols played an important role in the life of the early Church. We will replace them with tangles

In this 3 hours class I will provide the Liber Generationis String from of the Book of Kells, a handwritten and georgeously illustrated work that has survived twelve hundred years. It was written by the monks of ancient Scotland and Ireland.

You will learn how it was possible to create such a wonderful piece of art with so little tools and paint.

Minimum size of tile 6,8" x 8,2" (I recommend Fabriano Tielpolo cardstock white 290g, same quality as original Zentangle tiles)

Time Zones:

Central European Time 07.00 PM

Eastern -6 hours 1. 00 PM

Central - 7 hours 12.00 NOON

Mountain -8 hours 11.00 AM

Pacific -9 hours 10.00 AM

UK Time -1 hour 06.00 PM

We will not be able to finish this tile during class but I will provide you will all details how to finish this masterpiece on your own, as there is lots of repetition in the tangling part.

A least 2 days before class I will send out a detailed supply list which I also attach to the ticket. Please print after purchasig your ticket. If you have tangled on Renaissance before you will have everything at home you will need. My golden pen is a Pentel Hybrid Dual Metallic just in case you want to achieve the same shiny result. If you use a Sakura Gelly Roll metallic gold you can add a Sakura Gelly Roll transparent #700 to get the same shiny result.

The pdf template should come (2 days before class) in the right size if you print it 100%.

This class is held on Zoom and will be recorded.
